WHAT IS A DEEP SOAK?
Deep soaking or dread soaking is a practice to ensure there is no excess buildup in the middle of your dreadlocks. All sorts of materials such as dirt, smoke, pet hair, shampoo, sprays, chlorine etc will get stuck in your dreadlock even if you regularly shampoo them.
Deep soak powder’s are designed to help lift any of the buildup out of the dreadlock leaving your locks feeling fresher, softer and cleaner.

HOW DO I USE IT?
Here at Lunalockshop we have made it super easy to soak your dreadlocks. Each dread soak pouch contains 4 individually packaged single uses inside!
Simply sprinkle a full single use pouch into 10-15L of warm/hot water and soak your entire locks for 15-20minutes.
Be sure to soak all the way up to your scalp, and to assist in bringing out any build up- scrunch your locks during the soak to help out any nasties!
WHEN DO I USE IT?
Lunalockshop highly recommends completing at least 4 deep soaks per year to ensure your dreadlocks stay fresh and free from nasties! Which means 1 purchase will last you a whole year!
An easy way to remember your timeline is by doing a soak at the end of each season.
Pro tip- do your deep soak during the week before you have a maintenance booking! This will help your dread tech work on your dreadlocks which in return means that your maintenance will be much more effective.
